Two new private apartment buildings in this historic city street.
These two small residential buildings in the narrow and historic Cock Lane were created for developers Modern City Living / United House. The eastern building comprises 12 apartments in a simple contemporary style but designed to contextually accord with the conservation area. The western unit replaces an existing Victorian warehouse and consent was only granted due to the carefully crafted design which incorporates traditional detailing and re-uses an existing terracotta shop front. Inside, 15 contemporary apartments are accommodated with an office space at ground and basement levels.
