A new hillside house, incorporating an existing stone cottage.
The transformation of this small hillside cottage into a large, comfortable home was achieved through the provision of a simple and similar new structure just behind the existing building. With the new building built into the hillside, the two were linked by long gallery and open staircase. A new and slightly separated, timber-clad drawing room projects westward into the fields, taking full advantage of views over the surrounding countryside.
